Street Fighter’s most iconic villain, M. Bison, was revealed at this year’s Summer Games Fest as one of four characters coming to Street Fighter 6 as part of Capcom’s Year 2 plans for the game.
Bison is the first of the four characters to release and joined the roster earlier this week alongside a new game update.
Besides Bison, the update includes the ability to customize the game’s music with tunes from previous Street Fighter titles. Replays will also have additional playback speeds of 1.1x and 1.2x and a ‘Rewind Frame’ option to give players more granular control when reviewing replays. Capcom has also provided improved UI for Critical Arts, flashing the player’s health bar when available for use.
Bison is included in the Year 2 Character Pass and Ultimate Pass, but can also be purchased individually for 350 Fighter Coins. This option grants players the character as well as outfit 1 and colors 1 and 2.
Later in the fall, Terry Bogard of Fatal Fury will join the Street Fighter 6 roster as the first guest character in the franchise’s history. Mai Shiranui, another iconic Fatal Fury character, will arrive in Winter 2025. Elena, a returning character, is set to arrive in Spring 2025.
