One new Unique item introduced in Season 5 of is the Axial Conduit, a pair of Pants for the Sorcerer class you can get by participating in a seasonal event. The effect of this item can make your character far stronger when facing new threats. With several Affixes that pair with this item's unique ability, you can create a build focused on making the most of this gear.
Although you can get the Axial Conduit Unique Pants by killing enemies or opening chests, the chances of this incredibly rare item dropping are low. Only 15 new Unique items in have been added to Season 5, with each only spawning rarely around Sanctuary. Certain restrictions on your world may also prevent you from finding these Pants until your character is ready to face greater challenges.

You can only get the Axial Conduit item on World Tier 3 or 4 difficulty, so make sure you've completed the trial dungeons that unlock either of these modes. World Tier 3: Nightmare in is host to a special quest called in Season 5, which you should tackle as soon as you can. Finishing this quest introduces the Infernal Hordes game mode, where the Unique Pants have a high chance of dropping.
Completing quest will give you an item called the Infernal Compass, which lets your character travel to Hell and challenge the Infernal Hordes in a special game mode introduced in Season 5.
The Axial Conduit item, and all the other Unique gear artifacts in Season 5, have increased drop rates in Infernal Hordes. This mode sees you take on wave after wave of powerful enemies, similar to world events you may have already encountered in your travels. Completing an Infernal Hordes event gives you the Spoils of Hell treasure, which could contain the Axial Conduit or another strong item.
