With Cataclysm Classic's release fast approaching, players across all regions are setting themselves up for the smoothest possible leveling experience once the expansion goes live. We've put together a list of some of the things that you can do during the pre-patch to get yourself ready while waiting for Cataclysm Classic to release!
The end of an expansion can always be a bit rough on your bags, but it's acceptable because there are just so many things to keep tabs on at once — different gear sets, consumables, quest items, that one quest hand-in you promised yourself you'd hand in last month. Everything's possible!
However, if your bags look anything like this, now is the perfect time to start sorting your bags and getting them in order for the new expansion. As you begin questing — especially if you have gathering professions — you'll notice your bags filling up quickly, and the last thing you'll want to do is stop leveling to have to sell unwanted items.
The best thing you can do is choose which Specialization you're going to level as and have that gear equipped and ready, with a focus on AoE damage. Situations that require high single-target damage are generally very rare while leveling, and even in those rare cases, AoE-focused gear should be more than enough to handle any quest. If you want to swap to a Tank or Healer Specialization when queueing for Dungeons, then keep one of those gear sets in your bags. Ideally, you won't be running around the Cataclysm zones on launch with 4 different sets of gear in your bags (looking at you, Druids).
If you've got spare gold lying around, you can also grab yourself a set of bigger bags, depending on your budget and server prices. The Portable Hole is a 24-slot bag and is currently the largest available in the game, but it costs 3,000 gold! So unless you've got gold burning a hole in your pocket, it's unlikely that you're going to be grabbing 4 of them ahead of release. You can, however, get
