Now, you might be asking what a himbo is, and you're not alone - Leon Kennedy himself, Nick Apostolides, didn't know what it meant. The internet loves to label Leon a himbo but that's just it, it's a very online term, so for those who aren't very online, it probably sounds like nonsense. It's simple enough: it means a 'him bimbo', a male bimbo. Basically, he's a dumb hottie.

Speaking to Apostolides, our own Lead Features Editor Jade King had to explain this to him, describing it as "a guy who is equally buff and dumb, but in an endearing way." Apostolides replied, "I see, a play on bimbo. I get it. I am aware of course, I've seen memes and pictures and everything online for years and years and years. But it wasn't until I was in Resident Evil 2 [Remake] that I realised how big the online fandom was.
"All I knew before then is that it was a popular game franchise that I absolutely loved. And I bonded with friends and family over those games," Apostolides continued. "But when I started to get tagged in all these things, Reddit pages, Twitter, Instagram, and all that stuff, that's when I realised how massive and expansive and multigenerational the fanbase is. And so Leon is just one of those guys.
