The Albion Onlin e team has released a new infographic and a whole lot of details about the opening of theAlbion East server, including soaring player numbers and a new record.
One of the details the team has shared recently is that opening the Albion East server about six weeks ago has led to a new record for Albion Online’s active players. About a month ago, they shared stats from the first two weeks after the server fully launched, and at that time, there were 2.9 million PVP kills, 37 million carrots harvested, nearly 21 million trashed items, and cumulative playtime on the servers of around 9.6 million cumulative play hours on Albion East,or roughly 1,095 years.
On April 11th, they announced that a new daily active users record had been set, with combined numbers from both servers hitting over 300k. Now, the Sandbox Interactive team has some new numbers to share.
Those PvP kills? Those are now at 11.85 million, trashed items surpass 73 million, there have been over 172 million carrots harvested, and cumulative playtime on the new server has reached 29 million hours, or over 3,300 years.
When the Albion East server was launched, there were questions as to how it might impact the community and if there would be a noticeable split. Others were glad that there would be a server not just closer to their location, but with scheduled events also tuned to a closer time zone. In response to initial concerns, Albion East wasn’t fully opened right off, butcontent was opened up as the numbers rose. It looks like the team and the community didn’t have to worry about population in the end, but that they opened it in stages showed they were listening to the concerns.
It seems that all of that more than paid off so far. See
