There have been a lot of cool Iron Man armors over the years, one of the coolest being the armor an evil Tony Stark wore in Superior Iron Man. But there was one dark feature of it that was recently revealed. This series was written by Tom Taylor and illustrated by Yildiray Cinar.
During the blockbuster event Axis, many alignments from Marvel's heroes and villains were reversed. Good guys became bad while many bad guys became good. By the end of the series, most of these changes were reverted back to the status quo. But Tony Stark was outside the reversal's target area. He was left as a money-hungry, egotistical industrialist. The series Superior Iron Man picks up where Axis left off. Tony takes over Alcatraz, renaming it Stark Island, and becomes the very twisted hero of San Francisco.

One of the main and most visual changes to Tony Stark's look is his new Endo-Sym armor. This is a silver armor that allows for Tony's face to be more readily available. Fans have speculated this armor might appear in the upcoming MCU film Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, which triggered its creator, Tom Taylor, to speak about the armor on Twitter. He revealed that the armor's color is linked to Tony's emotional state. When he is calm, relaxed, and cocky (as Tony often is) the armor glows blue. When he gets angry or stressed the armor glows orange/red instead.
