A fan poster for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness unites Tom Cruise's Iron Man and Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man. The upcoming Doctor Strange sequel arrives on May 6 after experiencing many delays due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The film is set to focus on the chaos that resulted from Doctor Strange's (Benedict Cumberbatch) tampered spell in Spider-Man: No Way Home that accidentally unleashed the multiverse upon their world.
This introduction of the multiverse has opened the door for a plethora of new characters, as well as familiar ones with newer faces, to make an appearance alongside Doctor Strange returners. Wong (Benedict Wong), Christine Palmer (Rachel McAdams), and Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor) will all be coming back to the screen for the sequel. Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) will also join the Doctor Strange ensemble as the Scarlet Witch, following her tumultuous experience in Disney+'s WandaVision series. In terms of brand new faces, the multiverse traveler America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez) will be making her debut. Doctor Strange will also be coming face-to-face with variants of himself, such as Defender Strange, Strange Supreme from Marvel's What If...?, and the Sacred Timeline's Doctor Strange. New trailers and television spots continue to reveal an epic ensemble as the movie's release comes closer.
