Intel's next-gen Arc Battlemage B580/B570 GPU is said to be superior to NVIDIA's current-gen GeForce RTX 4060 Ti, showing us the first glimpse of the SKU's performance.
While leaks surrounding Team Blue's "Battlemage" GPUs have started to run wild on the internet, we sadly didn't get information about the respective performance, putting us all clueless about what to expect with the release. Although we are aware of "some" specifications of Intel's Battlemage SKUs, it is now disclosed by Golden Pig Upgrade (via Weibo) that Intel's upcoming "budget-tier" Arc Battlemage B580 and B570 GPUs are said to feature higher performance than Team Green's GeForce RTX 4060 Ti, in synthetic benchmarks.
Interestingly, Golden Pig Upgrade not only mentions Intel's Battlemage performance, but he also says that AMD's "Navi 44", which is said to be Team Red's upcoming "budget-oriented" GPUs, will be able to compete with NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 4060 Ti. While the comparison certainly isn't fair due to generational differences, this is likely done to show that Intel and AMD's upcoming GPUs are going to be some "serious" offerings when it comes to catering to the low-to-mid-end markets.
Given that the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti is one of the "leading" contenders for budget users, we can expect a similar price-to-performance ratio from Intel's Arc Battlemage B580/B570 GPUs and AMD's Navi 44. It seems like AMD and Intel are now more focused on grasping the attention of the mid-range segment of the market, given that in the enthusiast's race, NVIDIA has gained a clear lead, but competitors still have a chance to overtake in the relatively "wider segment" of the GPU industry.
This approach is in line with what AMD disclosed a few months ago when the firm announced
