Lewdle is a word game with the same mechanics as the popular Wordle. Players will have six tries to guess a word, getting contextual hints as to what it is after each guess. What sets Lewdle apart is its exclusively NSFW lineup of words.
Lewdle is a surprisingly challenging game, as compared toWordle, there are far fewer words to choose from. Unless the player’s vocabulary is populated with salacious and risqué terms, the simple word game is sure to be a challenge.
Some Wordle Players Are Annoyed With the February 16 Word
Upon opening the Lewdle website, the player is greeted with a “How to Play” screen. On it is a quick explainer on the mechanics of the game — something Wordle players should already know — as well as a content advisory. The advisory very clearly states that the game features rude words, and if the player is uncomfortable with that, then it’s best to head over to Wordle instead.
The warning isn’t kidding, as examples of past Lewdle answersinclude words like, “daddy” and “booty,” but there are other words that are far more explicit, such as well-known slang terms for male and female genitalia. On the other hand, some Lewdle words are obscure, like “frots” or “quims.” Thus, suggestive as they may be, players can learn all sorts of new words from the game. In fact, guessing the word correctly brings up a link to its definition on Urban Dictionary.
On a more serious note, the developers have openly stated that they have no intention of adding slurs to the game.
