To recruit a Hireling, return to your party camp and chat with Withers. As long as you have an open spot in your party, Withers will allow you to recruit one of twelve different Hirelings for a small fee of 100 Gold. Recruiting Withers is one of the first things you should do, as he also allows you to respec and change your class.
