I was at a cell phone repair shop which also had old videogames from NES, Nintendfo 64 to copies of sports games for Playstation 4 along with Playstation 2 games on a shelf.
then in the front counter glass cabinet, there was a Playstation 2 console for $125 bucks.
Just wondering if that is how much an old Playstation 2 is supposed to be these days?
@XandertheWise It depends on the condition. A nice boxed example of an original model with all the paperwork and demo disc can go for well over that price but I've seen loose consoles (with just leads and controller) for less than half that.

@LN78 well the one that i just saw earlier at the phone repair shop, it looks like its in good shape with one controller and the power cord.
Im always a little cautious when thinking about buying an old console that costs 125 bucks even if its a good looking Playstation 2 slim. id love to have it so i can finally play Mortal Kombat Armageddon or something
@XandertheWise That price seems steep to me. Honestly, I'd be inclined to buy an original model as they can be easily modded with an HDD, making the use of the optical disc drive (which is prone to failure) unnecessary.

@LN78 well, i'd still buy it at that price at the cell phone repair shop as long as the playstation 2 console works where it still plays Playstation 2 game discs etc
its more spendy on amazon and ebay these days anyway
@XandertheWise Errrm. I just looked and you can get an unboxed PS2 slim on eBay for around £30 with shipping. Why even bother to ask the question on here if you've already decided that $125 is a fair price? Which it obviously isn't.
