A Honkai: Star Rail leak has revealed details about a new weapon that belongs to one of the starter characters, March 7th. This four-star Preservation character has been part of the game's main storyline since the beginning and players can add her to their roster for free.
It's common for gacha-based games to introduce newer versions of their first couple of characters, considering that they usually don't fit in most team compositions once a meta gets established. According to previous Honkai: Star Rail leaks, there will be a new version of March 7th added to the game in one of the upcoming updates.
Previous Honkai: Star Rail leaks have revealed that March 7th might soon receive a new form that will equip her with a pair of blades, instead of the bow, which is her current weapon of choice. A new post on the popular Honkai: Star Rail subreddit has revealed the texture of one of the weapons. The blade-to-handle ratio of the weapon suggests that it's compact, allowing March 7th to dual-wield the blades. The weapon features a long slender blade with a red line down the middle, and the handle has a purple flower design on the guard and a blue gem attached at the end of the pommel. The red accents on the weapon hint that March 7th's new form could change from her iconic blue to a red outfit.
Honkai: Star Rail's official storyline has confirmed that March 7th is constantly trying to find more information about her past. Many fans speculate that she will receive new powers by finding out more details about her life before her encounter with eternal ice. At the moment there is no information about whether March 7th's new form will be introduced as a completely new character or through Eidolons.
