Hogwarts Legacy, the open-world game set in the Wizarding World released last month on PC and consoles, is a solid enough game, but some of its features are not as well realized as they are in other similar games. One of these features is the ability to change the time of day, which feels rather clunky.
On PC, players have the option of making skipping time much smoother with two new mods that were shared online yesterday. The first one, Instant Timeskip, adds a new hotkey that allows players to instantly change the time of day from morning to night and vice versa without having to enter the menu.
Those wanting to make changing the time of day smoother in Hogwarts Legacy, but find Instant Timeskip immersion-breaking, can install the Immersive Timeskip mod instead. This mod adds a new hotkey for changing the time of day, but instead of instantly skipping time, this mod fast-forwards the time while allowing the player to see the world change. Multiple variants offer different options for the best possible experience.
Where Hogwarts Legacy definitely feels lacking is the challenge level, as the game is rather easy even at hard mode. Those looking for a real challenge, one that requires players to use all of the game's mechanics to their full potential, can check out the Master Mode mod, which tweaks Hard Mode by increasing enemies' HP and damage, doubles the price of items, and more.
Hogwarts Legacy is now available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S worldwide. The game was scheduled to release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One next month but was delayed to May 5th as the developer needed additional time to polish the experience. The Nintendo Switch version did not suffer any delay and will release on July 25th
