343 Industries has revealed the features coming in Halo Infinite's next Content Update, called Banished Honor, including a new Shop section that uses free-to-earn currency, another Operation Pass, Forge improvements, and more. The Halo Infinite update is set to release on April 30.
Halo Infinite's last major update came in early April and introduced The Yappening 2 event, which included an Operation Pass and new Firefight variants that exclusively feature hordes of grunts. With that update, 343 announced the new 4v4 map Corrosion, which was just made available and is now featured in a 24/7 Playlist. 343 also just added a new 4v4 map to Ranked playlists called Interference, which is a remake of Halo 5's popular The Rig map. While there's no waiting required to jump into the two new maps, 343 shared some info on what fans can expect next week on April 30.
Halo Infinite's next Content Update will introduce the Shop's Exchange section, which offers a rotating set of items that can be purchased with Spartan Points. This new currency can be earned by completing daily challenges, weekly challenges, and Operation Passes. The Exchange offers returning items as well as new ones, with the items changing every four to six weeks. Also coming on April 30 is the Banished Honor Operation Pass, which is free and features 20 tiers of rewards. As for Forge, the next Content Update adds the Flood and Alien Forge palettes, more mode variants, and expanded scripting options.
The next Content Update might help the Plasma Pistol climb up Halo Infinite's weapon tier list, as the gun's EMP effect is returning, meaning it can be used to disable vehicles by using its overcharged shot. Other improvements coming on April 30 include minor quality-of-life upgrades along with stability and networking adjustments.
