Guild Wars 2 has set the dates for the next World vs. World restructuring beta. The next phase of testing will begin in one week, on January 12th and run for the following three weeks.
This next phase will center around a few elements of the system the team is preparing for the eventual full time online WvW. Officially announced today, the team lists the four main parts they’ll be looking at:
If you want to get in and check out the team-building improvements and help the team to get the data they need, you’ll have to get yourself signed up by Thursday, January 11th before midnight PST. You can participate with your guild and sign up to be on the same team, or sign up as an individual to be matched. There will be a second round of team creation during the beta, so if you’re still looking to play with your guild, you’ll have to set your guild again by midnight PST on January 25th.
This beta will run through February 2nd.
When it comes to the World vs. World restructuring, the Guild Wars 2 team announced in an update back in November that they had shifted priorities to first getting the 24/7 mode up and running and fixing some of the glaring bugs. Systems they plan to add have been pushed back, including an alliance system and team transfers, so it looks like the multiple team composition rounds within this next beta are going to move them ahead on these goals.
