A new update for Gran Turismo 7 will be arriving at no additional cost for players today at 10PM PST. This new update includes support for PlayStation VR 2 which will allow players to experience more realistic racing simulations through the PS5-exclusive VR headset. Additionally, the update brings some more action-packed features that we'll discuss shortly.

Let's start with the first feature of the update. The latest Gran Turismo 7 update will allow PlayStation VR 2 owners to play the game with a new level of realism. The VR experience will be compatible with all the races and game modes, excluding the 2P split screen mode. Additionally, the game will also add an exclusive VR Showroom area in the Garage where players can look at the stunning details of the car models in a variety of locations and lighting settings.
The next part of the udpate allows players to meet the GT Sophy AI that was previously teased by the developers a while ago. This superhuman racing AI agent is going to be available in a game mode known as GT Sophy Race Together and will be exclusive to the PS5 version of Gran Turismo 7.
In this mode, players will be able to race against the AI in a series of circuits of increasing difficulty. Players will be able to face off against the AI in a 1-vs-1 environment with identical car configurations and settings, showcasing the superhuman racing skills of the AI. The GT Sophy Race Together mode will be available as a limited time event from February 21 to the end of March.
