2017's GT Sport supports Sony's original PSVR whereas its successor from last year, Gran Turismo 7, recently received an update to support PSVR2. A new GT Sport vs Gran Turismo 7 has now been released, highlighting the visual quality between both titles using PSVR and PSVR2.
The comparison video from YouTuber 'ElAnalistaDebits' is an interesting one as it now only compares 2017's GT Sport to 2022's GT7, but also directly compares PSVR to PSVR2. Granted, it's not a totally fair comparison as Gran Turismo 7 clearly looks better than GT Sport without VR. Still, this video gives an impression of the significant leap that has been made between Sony's original PSVR and its successor when it comes to graphical quality. Gran Turismo Sport and Gran Turismo 7 are available globally now for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. The recently-released PSVR2 headset only works with PlayStation 5.
