It might be turning 25 this year, but N64 classic GoldenEye 007 is still as relevant now as it was all the way back in 1997. That's largely because evidence continues to stack up that the iconic James Bond game will be getting the remaster treatment to celebrate its 25th birthday. While that still hasn't been officially confirmed, there is a new documentary all about GoldenEye coming later this month.
Directed by Drew Roller, GoldenEra will celebrate a title that remains on so many people's best-ever lists by taking a deep dive into how exactly it came to be. Exploring how a very young Rare team in the UK happened upon a massive license, and some of those who worked on the game are featured in the doc. GoldenEra will also include unique perspectives from journalists who covered the game at the time, and some of those aforementioned fans who believe it to be one of the best to this day.
