Sony has completely changed its PlayStation Plus service, introducing three tiers for subscribers to choose from. The PS Plus Extra and Premium tiers are a bit more expensive, but they give PS4 and PS5 gamers access to many more games than the standard PS Plus Essential subscription. As a matter of fact, the PS Plus Extra and Premium tiers will soon be getting an influx of new games, with 15 titles coming to PS Plus Extra subscribers and 17 set to be available for those signed up for the PS Plus Premium tier.
All of these games will be joining the PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium tiers come Tuesday, July 19, making it a huge day for PlayStation Plus subscribers, to say the least. Those signed up for the PS Plus Extra tier will be able to get their hands on five Assassin's Creed games (technically seven since Assassin's Creed: The Ezio Collection includes three games), Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade, Marvel's Avengers, Saints Row 4: Re-Elected, Stray, and a variety of other titles.

Out of these, perhaps the most notable addition is Stray. While most of the PS Plus Extra and Premium games coming on July 19 are older titles, Stray is a brand-new, day one release. Stray is the first PS Plus Extra day one release since the introduction of the new PlayStation Plus tiers, and so it will be interesting to see how fans react to it. For those who may be unfamiliar with the game, Stray is a game where players play as a cat in a futuristic, cyberpunk-style city. Stray was one of the very first games ever revealed for Sony's PlayStation 5 console, though it should be noted that a PS4 version will also be available for PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers to check out come launch
