The Hisui Cup is now live in the Pokémon GO Battle League, available until Wednesday, August 3 at 1 pm local time. To celebrate the recent Hisuian Discoveries event, Pokémon that were initially discovered in the Hisui region have a place to shine. The maximum CP for these Pokémon to battle in the Hisui Cup is 1500. In addition, only Pokémon with a Pokédex number between #387 to #493, plus every Hisuian form in Pokémon GO, are eligible to battle. This stipulation includes the entire Sinnoh Pokédex so that these Pokémon will be most frequent.
With these stipulations, few fully evolved Pokémon will be available to use in the Battle League. To stand a chance in the Hisui Cup, opt for the best competitive, fully evolved Pokémon from the Sinnoh region. Picking Pokémon that get the closest to the CP maximum of 1500 is not always the best choice, nor is selecting a team with too many similar types.
