The latest gameplay trailer for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet has revealed the first Mystery Gift for the game, which involves a unique Flying Pikachu whose Tera Type is Flying. The Pokémon series has been giving away valuable Early-Purchase Mystery Gift bonuses since Pokémon X and Y, in order to encourage players to grab the game as soon as possible to avoid missing out on a rare or exclusive Pokémon.
The Early-Purchase Mystery Gifts have included the likes of a Torchic with a Mega Stone in Pokémon X and Y, a Shiny Beldum with a Mega Stone in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, and Gigantamax Meowth in Pokémon Sword and Shield. It's still possible to trade for these Pokémon with other players, so they're not totally out of the grasp of late adopters, but the value of the Pokémon means that trainers might not be so quick to give them up, especially in the case of Gignantamax Meowth and its money-creating tactic.
