God of War Ragnarok Set for PC, New Report Claims | Push Square
God of War Ragnarok is amongst the next batch of first-party titles Sony plans to port to PC, a new report from PS Plus leaker Billbil-Kun claims. They say the official announcement could be made as soon as this month, which could line up with a potential PlayStation Showcase taking place in May.
Sony has been happy to feature PC news during its conferences as of late, with Fairgame$, Marathon, and Helldivers 2 all sporting the phrase «coming to PS5 and PC» at the end of their trailers. This would mark the second time Kratos and son Atreus have appeared on the platform, with the 2018 entry God of War being one of Sony's earliest PC ports.
Presumably, the game will utilise the new PlayStation overlay that ships with this month's PC release Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut, allowing users to unlock Trophies and view their friends list. A PSN account will be required to access it, but it won't be needed to play the actual game since God of War Ragnarok is an entirely single player experience — that includes last year's surprise roguelike add-on Valhalla.
It had been previously rumoured that The Last of Us 2 Remastered, first released for PS5 at the start of this year, would be another PC port for the near future. However, since that claim was made, the Twitter account in question has been debunked.
