While there are many things to love about God of War Ragnarok, one area that draws ire from players is how often your companions chime in to help with puzzles. Kratos is nearly always with an ally during his quest, and when you come to a brainteaser, the game can sometimes feel as though it doesn't give you the space to work it out yourself. Well, it sounds like the devs have listened to this feedback.
An option to reduce puzzle hints debuts within God of War Ragnarok's PC version, which launches today on Steam and Epic Game Store. On the PS Blog, Santa Monica Studio's Grace Orlady goes over some new features in this release, including the aforementioned option to decrease your companion's puzzle chatter. This option will be coming to the PS5 and PS4 versions of Ragnarok «soon», too.
On top of that is a new option for audio description during cut-scenes. «These descriptions will provide additional contextual information alongside the spoken dialogue to create a more detailed experience for players with low vision,» the PS Blog reads. Again, this feature will be added to the console versions in an update.
