Kratos has always been a mighty force to be reckoned with in the God of War series, and a newly released video clip reveals that mere mortal seagulls explode if they so much as bump into the Ghost of Sparta. As befitting the dark protagonist of an ancient Greek fable, Kratos has demonstrated his superhuman strength and endurance while battling several powerful deities throughout the original God of War trilogy and the critically-acclaimed 2018 God of War reboot — to the point where plenty of real-life bodybuilders and professional wrestlers have cosplayed as God of War’s Kratos while demonstrating their own physical prowess.
As God of War fans will attest, Kratos is no mere human. As the illegitimate son of Zeus, Kratos inherited incredible strength and endurance, traits that served the Spartan warrior well as a soldier and general before he was set on a bloody path of vengeance against the Gods of Olympus. During the many battles that followed throughout the original God of War trilogy, Kratos’s already incredible power grew as he cut down towering deities with little more than his signature Blades of Chaos and eventually enacted his revenge against Zeus himself by beating the Thunder God to death with his bare hands. Kratos would show even more of his strength in God of War (2018), with players sharing incredible God of War photo mode images of the now-battle-weary Kratos cutting down foes with his new Leviathan Axe.
