There are times in life when someone needs to sacrifice something to get ahead, whether it be personal time or a possession which can better serve one's personal or professional goals. The same can be seen in competitive multiplayer matches where sometimes, to ensure the match swings one team's way, a player must make the ultimate sacrifice. However, a D.Va player was not seemingly given a choice while playing Overwatch when their team's Mei got to make the decision for the player to ensure the team got the next checkpoint.
Overwatch is a multiplayer-focused hero shooter from Blizzard originally released in 2016 and was the first wholly original IP from the studio since 1997's StarCraft. As mentioned, the game is focused on competitive, team-based multiplayer where two teams of six would face off in objective-driven matches, though modes like free-for-all and team deathmatch would be added in future updates. The game's sequel, Overwatch 2, will continue this focus on team-based multiplayer, though team size will be reduced from six to five and various character reworks are planned for the sequel.
