Fractured Online has its first significant patch since Early Access relaunched earlier this month, and the team is doing some housekeeping. The patch fixes a number of exploits, patches some bugs, and makes a few balance changes.
Several exploits have now been patched. You can’t steal carts on Terra anymore, for one. Evil-aligned players must now wait out a 20 second waiting period after being downed. This is designed to prevent them from using the suicide function as a way to avoid being taken to jail. When you get out of jail with negative karma, if you switch back to evil at the shrine, it doesn't reset your karma back to zero, so you'll still bear the consequences of your actions.
Speaking of jail, one of the bug fixes means players no longer get stuck in jail during construction, regardless of alignment. Other bug squashed include monster attacks that get directly displayed in the best area, and a number of fixes that improve sieges. when you are attempting to Siege a city that is under protection, now you'll get a warning. and also the siege borders in other continents are actually no longer visible. Plus, death and KO popups are now accurate. Accurate helps.
A number of balance changes make armor encumbrance work better, from making heavier armor an obstacle to dodging, and offering some relief through the Armor Mastery talent. The encumbrance reduction available via that talent goes up to 50%.
Dynamight Studios has also reworked executions. By this, we mean expanded the experience. Not only does executing other players take longer, since they’ve added an all new execution animation and visual effects, but the death animation is improved all around.
