The developer posted when the announcement would take place on social media, but offered no other details on what it could be. The tease led to Forza Horizon 5 players guessing what the next expansion could be.
Recently, Forza Horizon 5 released the JDM update, which goes with the Japanese Automotive season in the game. With new cars to collect, including the 2023 Nissan Z and the Toyota Sports 800, the update was intended to keep players focused on weekly seasonal grinds like other seasons before it. Given the past seasons, the grinds should not be too long, and active players should have little trouble unlocking them as they wait for news of the second expansion.

The new expansion for Forza Horizon 5 will be revealed during a Twitch stream on Thursday, February 23, at 9:00 AM Pacific/12:00 PM Eastern, on Forza's Twitch channel. The news comes just seven months after the launch of Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels, the game's first expansion. However, news of the Hot Wheels expansion was accidentally leaked on Steam just days prior to the official reveal. At the time of writing, no such leaks have occurred as far as the second expansion goes.
In a picture posted by Forza Horizon on Twitter, a desert canyon with a racing fairground was shown, alongside a firework of a friendly-looking shopping bag mascot glowing in the sky.
