The Pokemon Trading Card Game continues to be popular, with plenty of new releases and new card types being released. This was especially prominent last year, since it was the Pokemon franchise's 25th Anniversary. From a big anniversary set with classic reprints to Pokemon cards of various music artists, there were plenty of ways that the franchise was celebrating this milestone in the TCG. This momentum is only continuing to move forward this year, thanks to the release of Pokemon Legends: Arceus.
This newest Pokemon game sees trainers thrown back in time, where they have ended up in the Hisui Region. This allows players to meet the ancestors of various characters seen throughout the series, along with ancient versions of known Pokemon. Despite only being out for only a week, Pokemon Legends: Arceus has seen incredible commercial success, already selling more than 6 million copies. With this success, it's no surprise that some Pokemon from the Hisui Region are coming to the trading card game as well.
Pokemon GO is Getting Its Own Trading Cards
The first set that will feature Hisuian Pokemon is the upcoming Battle Legion set, which is the ninth subset that is a part of the Pokemon Sword and Shield TCG series. It has a big focus on Pokemon from the Sinnoh Region, with creatures such as Combee, Vespiquen and Garchomp. There's even a special Garchomp V card that has Cynthia on the artwork. The Hisuian Pokemon currently revealed to be coming to this set are the newly introduced evolved forms, Kleavor and Wyrdeer.
Both of these cards each have special artwork depicting the Pokemon by themselves, accompanied by a trainer. The evolved form of Scyther, Kleavor, for example, has Lian from the Pearl Clan training with them. Meanwhile,
