WWE 2K22 is nearing its March release and 2K Games is building up to launch with a series of trailers unveiling WWE's superstars and their new looks for the game. Up until now, the trailers have largely focused on WWE's biggest stars, like Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns, Drew McEntyre, and Bobby Lashley, but now it's ready to get deeper into the heart of the roster. WWE 2K22's latest trailer focuses on some of the promotion's international stars, including Japan's Asuka and Ireland's Sheamus.
Altogether there are four WWE superstars confirmed for WWE 2K22 in the new trailer, which runs less than thirty seconds long. First off is Mansoor, a Saudi Arabian pro wrestler, who has oddly enough had just a single match in 2022. Next is Jinder Mahal, a Canadian wrestler of Indian Punjabi Sikh descent. Following Mansoor and Jinder are both Asuka and Sheamus, who were previously mentioned.
WWE 2K22 Gives Brock Lesnar a Lower Rating Than Roman Reigns
In addition to showing each of the four wrestlers' in-game models in the trailer, 2K Games also reveals their individual wrestling ratings — the metric for their in-game strength. Of the four, Asuka is presented as the strongest. Asuka has earned a healthy rating of 90, six points higher than her 84 rating inWWE 2K20. Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey were the only two women to be given a 90 in WWE 2K20.
As for the three men, Sheamus leads the pack with a rating of 85. That's an improvement of 3 points over his 82 score for WWE 2K20. Mansoor is 5 points down from that, at 80. Mansoor, who was part of NXT in 2020, was left out of the game and so has no prior rating. That leaves Jinder Mihal, a previous WWE Champion, with a rating of just 77.
