Renowned esports pro ShahZaM has accused Valorant streamer TrickAIM of stream sniping, which is something that could get the latter banned from Twitch.
ShahZaM is a player for the Esports team "Sentinels," who streams on Twitch with a following of over 1.4 million. He recently accused a fellow streamer who goes by the name TrickAIM of stream sniping during a match he was in, which then caused a flood of hateful comments to be sent to the latter.
The first clip shows ShahZaM telling his squad in Valorant to go to the B point on the map, and then in the second clip claimed that the enemy team is stream sniping because they were ready for an assault on B.
The last clip in the video shows ShahZaM muting Trick at a later date after joining a match with him, showing that he was still holding on to his claim. Trick tried to get a sentence in before he was muted, but was cut off.
Trick denied that he stream sniped, sharing a comment that was left on one of his Valorant YouTube videos that showed he was getting hate for the accusations.
Screenshots of the in-game chat were released as well, which shows that Trick publicly said he was stream sniping, which he claims was a joke.
While outright saying he was sniping would be a ridiculous move to make if he was indeed watching ShahZaM's stream, many felt that Trick could certainly have made the joke more apparent.
Many Twitter users gave their reactions to the drama, with public opinion mostly swerving towards defending Trick.
With many claiming this isn't the first time ShahZaM has done this in a match, it seems that this may be a bigger issue than first realized.
