Mamoswine is a beast in Pokemon Unite, both in looks and in how it can be played. A tank role is naturally one of the ways you can build this ice-based mammoth, but its kit also lends itself well to being more of an engage or disruptor should your team need it.

If you’re bold enough, you could even take Mamoswine into the jungle. This is best reserved for more advanced players with a grip on the game and the Pokemon, but it’s an option. The great thing about Mamoswine is that most builds use the same items, or close to it.
Quite simply, you pick Mamoswine when you need a beefier frontline to protect your carries and kick off skirmishes. Along with Crustle, it’s perhaps the most obvious tank, but there’s also a lot of nuances in how you adapt to a game.
So, if you want a Pokemon to soak up damage, go with Mamoswine. It’s always a pretty safe choice, the definition of one of those ‘seven-out-of-ten’ types that prove to be consistent all the time. If you’re being forced into the role especially, you can’t really go wrong here.
This build is all about dealing with the pressure front and centre, so that your carries can do the business. Mamoswine is best paired with more ranged Attackers, even better if they also bring crowd control and disruption to the table.
In most builds, High Horsepower is going to be a key move. It’s a gap closer, pushes enemies, and disables them — a really potent combo all in one. When you add Icicle Crash to the mix, with its debilitating slow, and follow up with Mammoth Mash, you’ll wreck enemy teams easily.
