The final chapter of Marvel Comics' Dark Ages features heroes of the apocalypse in an epic battle to save the world they've rebuilt, though it also has a great reunion between Deadpool and his favorite superhero: Gabby Kinney's Scout. Acting as the heroes' guide through Europe as they prepare to fight their own corrupted friends and the X-Men villain Apocalypse, Deadpool becomes a key character in this alternate reality story. However, his latest interaction with Scout serves as hilarious proof that she needs to become his official sidekick.
After the world loses all electricity in Dark Ages, the world is reformed by Marvel's heroes with Wakanda as a new world capital. However, the X-Men villain Apocalypse has been growing his forces in Europe, attempting to wake and claim the power of the Unmaker who was the cause of the world losing power in the first place. Thanks to the powers of the Purple Man, several Marvel heroes have had no choice but to serve Apocalpyse, making the heroes' final battle a rescue mission just as much as a fight to save the world.

As the heroes are guided through what was once Paris by Deadpool in Dark Ages #6 from Tom Taylor and Iban Coello, they soon come across the remains of Doctor Octopus who was betrayed by Apocalpyse. While seeing Doc Ock ripped in half is rather grim, Scout makes an equally dark joke about it that's worthy of Deadpool himself. While Taylor has provided Gabby and Wade team-ups in the past, this brief moment is just another great example that proves they should have their own series where Scout becomes Deadpool's new full-time sidekick.
