WWE 2K22 is merely weeks away at this point, and so the developers have been pulling the curtain back on the game's roster and their associated ratings. Like traditional sports games, WWE 2K22 assigns overall ratings to members of the roster that essentially determine their ability in-game. Sometimes these ratings can be controversial, which could very well be the case with the latest superstar rating to be revealed.
WWE 2K22 has revealed the overall rating for Brock Lesnar, with the near-unstoppable superstar sitting at an impressive 94 rating. This makes Brock Lesnar the second-highest rated superstar on the roster so far, beaten out only by current WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, who has a 95 rating. Considering how Brock Lesnar is portrayed on television, this may come as a shock, though it does make sense upon further examination.

Brock Lesnar may be a dominant member of the WWE roster, but he lost to Roman Reigns at the Crown Jewel event last October. Not only that, but at the Royal Rumble event in January, Brock Lesnar lost the WWE Championship to Bobby Lashley, whose overall rating is 91. Roman Reigns also lost his match at the Royal Rumble, but it was by disqualification. Reigns is also notable for having the sixth-longest world championship reign in the company's history, having held the Universal Championship for well over 500 days and counting, whereas Lesnar lost his latest championship in less than a month's time.
So while some may take issue with Brock Lesnar having a lower overall rating than Roman Reigns, it does accurately reflect how the two have been presented on WWE television. That being said, perhaps things will change with next year's WWE video
