Thanks to a report from Gamesradar, we’re finding out that a tweet from the Final Fantasy XVI Japanese Twitter account revealed that preloading would begin tomorrow. That would give players an easier time dealing with the actual game download rather than being forced into downloading the title right at launch. After all, we know that you’ll need 100GB of storage available on your PlayStation 5 SSD, so that is another reason you don’t want to mess with a download for this game at launch.
Of course, those who might be unfamiliar with what exactly preloading is will want to read on. For those who are unfamiliar, preloading is a means to download a game ahead of its launch. This means that players can ensure the game is completely downloaded and installed on their platform so that they can start the game campaign immediately once the game launches. There’s no waiting around at launch so that the game can download onto your console. But even if the game is downloaded on your PlayStation 5, it’s essentially locked. So don’t think you’ll be able to download and start playing the game beforehand.
