Square Enix has confirmed the release date of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.
The second part in its Final Fantasy remake series will be released on February 29, on two discs.
The announcement was accompanied by a lengthy trailer showing off new gameplay and cutscenes from the game.
Unlike Final Fantasy 7 Remake, which was released for PS4 in 2020 before making its way to PS5 and PC the following year, Rebirth won’t be available for Sony’s last-gen console.
The second entry in the Final Fantasy 7 remake trilogywas announced in June 2022. At the time, producer Yoshinori Kitase said Rebirth would be “released next winter”, meaning in late 2023 or early 2024.
