Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth boasts one of the most extensive trophy lists on PlayStation 5, with challenges even the most seasoned players find hair-raising. However, it's not the difficulty of these challenges stopping people from acquiring the coveted Platinum trophy, but rather a bug.
Square Enix has never held back when it comes to creating trophies for Final Fantasy games. The endeavor typically involves completing all the content the game offers, including mini-games, side quests, combat challenges, and, when possible, finishing the game in hard mode. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth features an immense trophy list that includes completing everything the RPG presents and then some. However, trophy hunter enthusiasts were stumped when they discovered they couldn't net a Platinum trophy due to a bug.
Square Enix has announced a fix for the platinum trophy issue coming in the next patch. At the moment, there is no date for the next update, but players can rest assured knowing that Square Enix acknowledges the error. The bug came along with the v.1.020 patch of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth and silently hindered players worldwide from completing a step of the Can't Stop, Won't Stop quest.
The Can't Stop, Won't Stop quest is the last one unlocked in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth after the player has completed all the others. In it, players must face off against Shinra's Middle Manager in various mini-games at the Gold Saucer and beat his record. However, the issue lies in the G-Bike mini-game. Players must surpass the 32,000 points threshold, and even if they manage to do so, the game doesn't recognize the feat, and the side quest remains locked. This prevents players from acquiring the My Job Here Is Done trophy, which requires completing all quests, thus bugging Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth platinum trophy acquisition.
