Final Fantasy 14's Own Music Festival, Mogstock, Is Taking Place This Weekend
Mogstock, the Final Fantasy 14 community's own player-run music festival, kicks off this weekend, with over 40 musical acts taking part from July 14th through the 16th.
According to the organizer's Carrd advertising the event, Mogstock is a large community event that aims to recreate the feeling of the venerable Woodstock music festival, without any of the issues associated with actually going to Woodstock.
«This large-scale community event endeavors to celebrate the wonderful part that music plays in FFXIV with our bards, choreographed dancers, orchestrions, and even the newer addition many groups have embraced: DJ'd nightclubs. Mogstock embraces the 'flowerchild' aspect of its namesake (Woodstock). Non-musically oriented community members are asked to get involved as vendors, guests, support staff, and more.»
The event will see over 40 different musical acts take the stage, as well as feature roleplaying events, sparring matches, player-run restaurants, giveaways, and more. The event looks massive at first glance, featuring multiple vendors, free companies sponsoring the event, and much more. There will even be an after-hours party each day to keep the festivities going well into the wee hours.
Mogstock will be taking place on the Mateus server held in the Ward 22 Subdivision of the Lavender Beds from July 14th through the 16th. Final Fantasy players who can't check it out in person can catch the stream going on all weekend on the various streaming partners listed on the event Carrd, as well as join the Mogstock Discord channel to learn more.
