Final Fantasy 14’s next big update will kick off a Final Fantasy 11 crossover Alliance Raid series
Square Enix has revealed the first details of the next major update for Final Fantasy 14.
The game’s fifth expansion, Dawntrail, was released in July, and the upcoming Patch 7.1 will be the first major update since then.
According to the publisher, Patch 7.1 will be titled Crossroads and is currently set for a mid-November release.
The update will introduce the first part of a crossover Alliance Raid series with Final Fantasy 11, Square Enix’s first MMORPG.
The series will see players travelling to Vana’diel, the land where Final Fantasy 11 is set.
Patch 7.1 will also continue the main scenario quest for Dawntrail, and will add other features such as the first high-difficulty 24-player Alliance Raid.
The main additions coming to Patch 7.1 are as follows:
Square Enix will be hosting a new episode of its North American community live show Duty Commenced on October 2, where Patch 7.1 will be explained in more detail.
