Sony announces the Father Stu Blu-ray release date and its included bonus materials. Written for the screen and directed by Rosalind Ross in her feature film debut, Father Stu is a biographical drama that stars Mark Wahlberg, Mel Gibson, Jacki Weaver, and Teresa Ruiz. While Father Stu is a faith-based movie, its R-rating sets it apart from other films in the genre, as it tells the story of a rough fighter finding his purpose as a priest. It was released in theaters on April 13, 2022.
This week, Sony announced the release dates for the home media versions of Father Stu, which include bonus materials for the film. The faith-based biopic will be available to own on digital May 31, and the Blu-ray and DVD copies will become available on June 14. Each will include over 10 minutes of deleted scenes and the featurette «You Don't Know Stu: More About Father Stuart Long.» Check out the box art for Father Stu below:

Father Stu is based on the true story of Father Stuart Long. Wahlberg called Father Stu his most important film, saying Long's story helped him during his own spiritual journey. After surviving a motorcycle accident, Long decides to dedicate his second chance at life to helping others, so he transforms himself from an amateur boxer to a priest. Despite his worsening health and skepticism from within the church and his estranged parents (Gibson and Weaver), Long achieves his goal and inspires many along the way. Soon audiences will be able to own Father Stu for themselves.
