The Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore HBO Max streaming date has officially been revealed. Acting as the third installment to the somewhat divisive Fantastic Beasts movie franchise, Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore was released last month to middling reviews and relatively poor box office numbers. The film, which is directed by Harry Potter veteran David Yates, sees the return of Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne), who is recruited by Dumbledore (Jude Law) to prevent Gellert Grindelwald (Mads Mikkelsen) from taking over the wizarding world.
After Johnny Depp stepped down from playing Grindelwald following the very public domestic abuse allegations from ex-wife Amber Heard, Mikkelsen stepped into the role for Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore. The recasting of the character seems to have been largely welcomed by fans and critics, with many praising the actor's villainous performance. In addition to Redmayne and Law, Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore features performances from Ezra Miller, Dan Fogler, Cara Mahoney, Katherine Waterston, and Poppy Corby-Tuech.

Now, the Warner Bros. release is transitioning to the second phase of its release strategy. For those fans looking to rewatch Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore (or experience it for the first time), HBO Max has now officially confirmed that the film will start streaming on the platform on Monday, May 30. Having only just released in theaters on April 15, the film is keeping to Warner Bros.' 45-theatrical window, which is largely becoming the norm for many films.
