The Mandalorian season 3 will be better, darker, and denser than the previous seasons, according to the cast. Pedro Pascal once again returns to the role of Din Djarin in The Mandalorian season 3, reuniting with his small, yet powerful companion, Grogu. The characters were brought back together at the end of The Book of Boba Fett, after Grogu chose to return rather than become a Jedi under Luke Skywalker's tutelage.
The Book of Boba Fett acted quite a bit like The Mandalorian season 2.5, continuing the story after the end of The Mandalorian season 2, which saw Grogu taken in by Skywalker and Din Djarin faced with a new challenge, that of becoming the ruler of Mandalore after winning the darksaber in battle. Djarin doesn't want the title, but Bo-Katan does, but she won't accept the ancient weapon without winning it in combat, as is Mandalorian tradition. After acquiring a new ship and his little green traveling companion, Djarin will have to contend with what to do with the darksaber, as well as his place in Mandalorian society, now that he is the de facto ruler.
