Earlier this year, Koei Tecmo and Type-Moon announced Fate/Samurai Remnant, an action RPG set in the Fate universe that was launching this year. It’s coming to PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch and PC, but further details – aside from featuring the Waxing Moon Ritual – weren’t revealed.
Fortunately, it seems an announcement could be due in the coming months. Gematsu discovered that it was rated in Taiwan for all four platforms. Several gaming showcases like Summer Game Fest are coming next month, so it could appear there.
Fate/Samurai Remnant seems to be set in the Edo era, with the player character becoming a Master. They summon a Servant who must likely partake in the new Holy Grail War, but little else – like how the game plays – is known. At the very least, Aniplex is also working on the title, which could mean stunning anime-style cutscenes. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
Fate/Samurai Remnant has been rated in Taiwan.
It's due out in 2023 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC.
