Behaviour Interactive has announced two new Dead By Daylight games are in development. The first is a single player title by Supermassive Games, the studio behind Until Dawn and The Dark Pictures Anthology. The second game is a new multiplayer title by Midwinter Entertainment, whose first game was Scavengers. Midwinter became part of Behaviour Interactive in 2022.
The new announcements come as part of Dead By Daylight’s 7th anniversary. A new trailer for the next chapter End Transmission has also been released, and that is due to go live on June 13th. End Transmission will add The Singularity, Gabriel Soma, and the Toba Landing map for players.
The other day, it was confirmed Nicholas Cage will be part of Dead By Daylight, with more news about his addition expected in July. A couple of months ago, a Dead By Daylight movie was announced. It is in its early stages, but if Nicholas Cage is coming to the game it could open the door for him to star in the movie as himself. That is something he has already done in The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent after all.
We re-reviewed Dead By Daylight for 2020, bumping up its original score, saying, “Dead By Daylight has evolved into somewhat of a phenomenon, proving that the often maligned games-as-a-service model produces more than just cookie cutter loot shooters. It’s still an acquired taste and a bit rough around the edges though stands out as one of the most unique ongoing multiplayer games of the generation.”
