A new video has emerged which imagines what a possible third entry in The Last of Us series could look like if done in Unreal Engine 5. The first two installments have endings that have kept video game fans talking, and regardless of whether people were happy with the outcomes, a third game would please a lot of people. There's no telling whether Naughty Dog will continue the story or create a new one in the same universe, but that hasn't stopped gamers from creating their own concepts.
As one of the best video game engines out there, Epic's Unreal is being utilized in the development of many AAA titles. Games that are currently being made in Unreal Engine 5 include Redfall, Layers of Fears, as well as the new Witcher and Tomb Raider entries. Using the latest version of Unreal Engine, a new video shows what a hypothetical Part 3 of The Last of Us could look like. As with the two official games, it has a certain gloom to it, but also looks pretty fantastic. It uses dialogue from the second title to great effect, and while it doesn't provide much in the way of a potential story arc, it certainly whets the appetite of those who thoroughly enjoy Naughty Dog's post-apocalyptic franchise.
