October is right around the corner, meaning fans of all thing spooky, creepy, scary, and Halloween-oriented are about to have a field day every day. Sometimes, companies will support these holidays, and that's true of video game services like Xbox Games with Gold, Xbox Game Pass, and Epic Games Store. Typically, Sony doesn't really do much in relation to holidays with PS Plus. For example, last October it offered Mortal Kombat X (but not with the horror character-based DLCs), a WW2 game, and a golf simulator.
Who knows, though, as that could and should change with the upcoming selection of games. Fans still have some time to claim the PS Plus free (Essential) games for September 2022, which include Need for Speed Heat, Granblue Fantasy Versus, and Toem, but Sony is also expected to reveal October's offering on September 28. Previously, the free game reveal was distinct from the Extra and Premium game reveal, but Sony rolled them all up in one for September. So, it's possible that fans learn about the whole kit and caboodle on September 28, or it could be separated again. All fans can do is wait and see how that shakes out, but in the meantime, here are some great things to see.
