A Pokemon fan came up with their version of a regional variant for Lapras. These alternate forms were added to the RPG series in Pokemon Sun and Moon, and are pocket monsters with different Typings and designs than their original counterparts. A number of Pokemon with regional variants have been introduced into the games, with more being added in Generation 9.
Lapras is a Water/Ice-Type that first appeared in Pokemon Red and Blue. According to the PokeDex, the creature is used to help transport people across bodies of water and was almost hunted to extinction. Lapras has a Gigantamax form but does not have an evolution or baby form. One gamer created a regional form for the pocket monster, making a major change in its typing.

A Redditor known as CraigRosnerArt- posted an image of a regional form for Lapras that they came up with. The artist's concept shows a change in the Pokemon's Typing, altering it from Water/Ice to Dragon/Water. The pocket monster's blue and cream body, as well as its gray shell, have been changed in favor of various greens and browns. Large pieces of algae flow off of the creature's shell and body, and its tail was made much longer than what is seen in Lapras' original form. Its shell also saw a large amount of change, as the spikes are now more prominent and sharp. It is an interesting take on the Pokemon and could easily pass as a real regional form.
