Fallout Season 1 Review

Fallout the video game was about the world after it ended. We never really found out why the world ended. We saw maybe a little bit before it ended and then the game was set all the way after. Fallout Season 1, on the other hand, goes into the origins of the world of Fallout. We find out who was responsible for the end of the world and why.

Flashbacks and events in Fallout’s present reveal a lot of things. The show can be pretty dark at times, but there is the familiar, weird Fallout humor that runs throughout the show. The story of the Fallout season 1 is, dare we say, even more epic than any of the video games. The cast is pretty impressive too.

Everyone from Ella Purnall, who plays the main character Lucy, to Walter Groggins, who plays The Ghoul, is perfectly cast. We know that Lucy is a good person but we are unsure about pretty much everyone else in the show. The characters, even Lucy, are flawed and feel like real humans (or non-humans in the case of the Ghoul).

The best character in the show is The Ghoul. We get a lot of his history in the first season too. He’s a super complex character and we’re never sure which side he’s on.

None of the character’s stories are finished in season 1. The series leaves a lot of questions unanswered. We can’t wait to see where season 2 (if there is one) takes the show. There is so much more to see in Fallout’s world.

The world of Fallout feels a lot like the video game: from the sets to the costumes to the effects, everything about the series seems familiar if you’ve played the games. If you never played the games, everything is laid out and everything you need to know is revealed in the show. The production value of this show is off the charts. Fallout is a weird, fantastic looking show.

And then there’s the music! Just like the games, Fallout’s soundtrack is mostly songs from the 30s, 40s, and 50s. The music brings a charm and lightness to the sometimes very dark and weird world of Fallout. The songs gamers would expect in
