Once devoted to research, this place continues its work even in the desolate Wasteland to create a new type of polymer. As with many missions, your character can get caught up in this place's experimentation and is forced to either help or fight to escape the laboratory.
Cambridge Polymer Labs has been conducting scientific experiments for nearly 200 years, with at least one ongoing test. Some companions in will be eager to continue this research, even with the threat of danger within the Labs. Going along with any tests in this location can help you improve your relationship with the NPC Curie if you bring her along during this quest.

The first step in starting the Cambridge Polymer Lab quest is to find a laboratory building in the central area of the larger Commonwealth region. Head south from Fraternal Post 115 or west from C.I.T. to quickly discover a large structure with a flat roof. As soon as you approach the main doors of this location, will show up as a discovered area that will appear on your map from now on.
The door to this place is unlocked, allowing you immediate entrance without having to pick any locks. Upon entering the Lab, you encounter a Miss Nanny robot named Molly, who acts as the custodian and manager of the employees who once worked there. Molly offers a chance for a job among the Lab's scientists, which you can answer to start the side quest in.
Once you complete a quick interview with Molly, the robot will direct you toward a cleanroom after changing into some gear given to you as a reward for being hired.
