After you complete the previous main quest,, you will automatically start The Glowing Sea. This will happen when you speak to Doctor Amari, who will send you to find Virgil hiding in the dangerous location you are headed for. It also has very high radiation levels and some dangerous enemies, so you will need to be well-prepared before you head out.
You shouldfirst look at Doctor Amari’s room for medical supplies. The dangers you will face will force you to take damage. Your protection from the Glowing Sea will not stop the radiation damage fully, so you need to have some on you for healing. There is also a first aid box in the facility where you are located, which can also give you supplies.
You can also take an ally, and Nick Valentine is a good choice. He is also in the facility, so you can talk to him and ask him to help you. You will then want to prepare by grabbing a hazmat suit, or you could go and spring to get your Power Suit. Whichever way you go, you will need one of them before facing the Glowing Sea in.
