By the time takes place in the year 2330, Earth has become an inhospitable wasteland, with only a few notable landmarks spread across vast desert plains. The destruction of the planet came about after Dr. Victor Aiza's discovery of Grav Drive technology in the 2100s — which players can conveniently use for their fast travel in the game — caused the planet’s magnetosphere to collapse merely 50 years into testing. Fortunately, humanity was able to flee and inhabit many other star systems instead.

The planet is also rich in resources like Gold, Platinum, Plutonium, Neon, Xenon and more that can be mined at these facilities.
Unfortunately, some of the outposts aren't inhabited by friendly humans, and players may end up in combat as they explore Earth.
Alongside the humans who have returned to Earth, there are plenty of different species of animals to be found, spanning land, sea, and air, although these are not the animals that inhabited Earth before its fall. Instead, the planet is now full of creatures like Terromorphs, Seabats, Leafbug Grazers, Cassowary Scavengers, Herding Fluke
